Roadlife, differently.
Our roadlife journey began like many others, but we quickly realized that we weren’t like everyone else on the road. We are 40yr old DINKs (Double Income No Kids) who work seasonally and like to explore with our off season. Cities, beaches, oil rigs, festival parking lots, historical landmarks and the odd gas station overnighter - nothing is off limits.
Oh… and our rig isn’t a box truck, it’s an off the shelf RV. So there’s also that. We just added a few tweaks to make her ours. Read on to learn more about that transformation.

Baja Beach bums
Camping for free, or next to free, on a clean sandy beach on the coastal shores of Baja is worth every harrowing twist and turn along those skinny highways. It feels so far from amenities yet there are vendors walking, driving, or horse back riding the beach to sell things like Tamales, Banana Bread, Fresh Shrimp or the best fresh squeezed juice you’ve ever tasted. Having all this come to you while you stay put is pretty darn spectacular. Our rig made this trip with ease and on it wasn’t until our third trip on the Baja Highways that we sacrificed a drivers side mirror (IYKYK).

RV MAKEOVER
She’s not a boxtruck, she’s an off the shelf Adventurer Alp RV 19RD and we LOVE HER! We call our rig PEACHES and she’s a BadA$$ ride. We have a full blog post about what we did to update and upgrade our gal to be a little more Dawn & Drew adventure ready.
Dare to remove those decals! You won’t regret it.
City dwellers
We aren’t always seeking out the sickest hikes, epic mountain bike trails, or even the most intense offroading … we are actually kinda the opposite. We seek out culture, art, food, experience and if a beach or a hike get in the way, we’re cool to vibe with that too.
One, of many sweet things about our rig is her size. At 19ft she can sneak into just about any parking spot. She also looks like a delivery van, so we’ve stealth parked on city streets all over the most popular cities in Canada, the US and Mexico. Crawling distance from the best dive bar in Nashville, yes please! Rolling distance from a memorable art gallery in the heart of Baja Sur (Mexico), or maybe rockstar parking at a music venue in Texas alongside the band. Whatever the range, our rig is a chameleon amongst many and we love that!
